Situated on the fringes of Waipawa township, this Greenfield development in Bennett Street comprises of 91 sections. Utilising the expertise of our TW Civil team, earthworks are currently underway with the subdivision due for completion in 2025.
The consenting process for this subdivision proved to be a challenge due to the lack of existing stormwater infrastructure to support growth in the area. Our team tackled this problem with an engineering solutions-based approach, creating a small wetland to help with stormwater management and capturing and filtering water before it enters the catchment area.
This infrastructure upgrade is significant in terms of the positive and lasting impact it will have on the entire Waipawa community. The stormwater management system will benefit residents by reducing the flood risk across multiple properties and unlocking development potential for 200 more homes in Waipawa. The filtered water system will help to improve the quality of water flowing into the catchment, helping to protect precious taonga, the Waipawa River.
